Criterion uses the latest technology for COVID-19 air sampling, and monitoring is performed using the SASS 2300 Air Sampling System. This portable, wetted-wall cyclone sampling system captures airborne particulates down to 0.5 microns in diameter.

Recent studies suggest that the SARS CoV-2 may remain viable and infective on surfaces for hours or days, depending on the surfaces material type.

Cleaning Verification:

Surfaces are tested for mold and/or Bacteria. This is a good substitute for directly measuring      SARS CoV-2.

Cleaning verification can also be performed using ATP chemilluminescence, although it does not detect viruses, it is an extremely sensitive method for detecting any living micro organisms.

SARS CoV-2 Bioaerosol Monitoring Samples are collected using state-of-the-art High Volume, wet- wall sampler. Surface samples are collected using specialized sampling swabs.

Analysis in our laboratory is by Reverse Transcription quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR).
