Connecting your business to the environmental resources you need…

Criterion was founded in 1986 by Jim Weltz as a response to the sudden demand for expertise in asbestos services.  To this day, Criterion has a robust position in all things asbestos.

From facility inspection services, abatement design, monitoring and abatement compliance responsibility, Criterion provides everything except remediation.  Criterion will subcontract an abatement contractor, should the client desire.

Criterion and our professional staff maintain a large number of licenses, certifications, accreditations – too many to list here.  When we work for you, chances are we already have all the correct approvals.  If not, we can get it quickly.  Most of our licenses, certifications and accreditations are listed under a specific service.

Over that time, Criterion has developed many other services in the Environmental and Occupational Health market.  From proactive indoor air quality surveys, industrial hygiene site assessments, mold, Legionella prevention, waster anesthetic gases, industrial and community noise standards, monitoring, Criterion has accomplished this strong growth in the scope of our services by hiring and developing skilled, quality personnel.
