Criterion performed project management, air monitoring, and contractor surveillance during the removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) at the Naval Square Project located at 2420 Grays Ferry Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the abatement project was to facilitate planned renovations at the site and to comply with EPA NESHAP (40 CFR 61, Subpart M) and City of Philadelphia Asbestos Control Regulations (ACR). Additionally, Criterion performed Indoor Air Quality services associated with the removal of excessive fungal growth from the original plaster walls in buildings left vacant for many years, causing moisture intrusion and subsequent fungal growth.

Criterion’s Industrial Hygienist/API monitored the cleanup and removal of ACM and fungal growth from the Governor’s Quarters, Surgeon’s Quarters and Biddle Hall.
