Environmental Technicians

Full-time Positions Available

Under general supervision, perform asbestos/lead building inspections/surveys and environmental sampling and monitoring.


Employee expected to exercise moderate degree of initiative, independence, responsibility and working knowledge of various environmental rules/regulations.  Maintain detailed records of jobs performed.


Education/Experience – Bachelor's Degree.  Current asbestos/lead licenses and certifications, as well as one year of experience preferred, but not required – we will train.


Skill – Follow oral/written instructions, as well as able to work independently in absence of direct supervision.  Analyze situations and take effective action.  Perform routine clerical work of average difficulty.  Learn to operate standard asbestos monitoring equipment.  Learn rules, methods, and policies of workplace.  Make arithmetic calculations.  Able to carry moderate to heavy equipment from parking space to site location.  Maintain cooperative relationship with those contacted in course of work.


Special Considerations – Must be willing/able to work shifts within 24-hour period and on holidays and weekends.  Some travel and/or overnight stay possible.
